The Real Estate Institute of Australia is the national peak body representing Australia’s real estate professionals. Established in 1924, REIA plays a central role in policy advocacy, industry standards, and national leadership across the property sector.

This project represents an ongoing multi year brand partnership, delivering a comprehensive identity system and a wide range of published, spatial, and digital outputs for a national institution approaching its centenary.

Brand IDENTITY

The REIA identity was designed as a flexible institutional system capable of supporting a century old organisation while clearly expressing modern relevance and authority.

A refined typographic hierarchy, a distinctive yellow anchor, and a modular logo system allow the brand to scale across publications, events, environments, and digital platforms while maintaining clarity and consistency.

This engagement was approached as a long term partnership rather than a single design exercise. The focus was on clarity, consistency, and longevity across all brand applications.

Each element was developed as part of a wider system, allowing complex information to be communicated clearly while supporting REIA’s evolving needs over time.

Brand rollout

The brand was rolled out across a wide range of applications, ensuring consistency across public communications, internal environments, and industry facing materials.

The brand was applied across awards nights and industry events, ensuring a cohesive visual experience across physical and digital touchpoints.

Event materials were designed to feel ceremonial, contemporary, and aligned with REIA’s national standing.

Each touchpoint was treated as part of a larger ecosystem, reinforcing recognition while allowing flexibility for different formats, audiences, and contexts. This systematic rollout ensured the brand remained cohesive across both high visibility public materials and everyday operational use.

Getting Real 1.0 & 2.0

Getting Real is REIA’s strategic policy publication series, developed to articulate the organisation’s position on trust, professionalism, and market integrity within Australia’s real estate sector.

Across its first and second editions, the publication translates complex policy priorities, research, and industry insights into a clear editorial framework. The design system supports structured storytelling, data clarity, and long-form reading while maintaining consistency across editions and formats.

REIA Year in Review
2021, 2022, 2023

The Year in Review is REIA’s annual editorial publication, documenting key milestones, people, and progress across the organisation and the wider industry.

Designed over three consecutive years, the publication balances reportage and reflection through a consistent visual system. Each edition brings together photography, editorial layouts, and narrative sequencing to create a considered record of the year that was, while remaining cohesive as part of a broader publication archive.

Explaining Blockchain for Real Estate

A motion explainer developed for REIA in partnership with REINZ to communicate blockchain enabled real estate transactions. The video simplifies a complex digital framework into a clear, accessible narrative while maintaining institutional credibility and visual consistency across the REIA brand system.

Centenary Wall Installation

Designed to mark one hundred years of the Real Estate Institute of Australia, this wall installation documents REIA’s journey from its early beginnings to its present role as a modern national institution.

Developed as a permanent in-office feature, the installation brings together archival material, key milestones, and contemporary brand language to create a visual narrative of legacy, leadership, and continuity. The project was received with pride by the REIA leadership and team, serving as a tangible expression of the organisation’s history and national significance.
